Kiste Riggs (shown here in her Halloween finery) was born in a cardboard box in Provo, Utah on `6 September 1998. She was one of multiple siblings.

Kiste's early years were spent in Orem, Utah, trying the patience of her family who attempted to contain her unbridled enthusiasm for exploring and running like a deer. She traveled far and wide on her own, becoming familiar to people far and wide. They often brought her back to here proper home. Eventually she was contained in her huge back yard with a chain link fence. She did., however, travel to Yellowstone National Park with her Person, Heather, and Max the Boston Terrier. While there she enjoyed the sport of Buffalo Spotting with Max.
Kiste was a nursing aide at Riverwoods Pet Hospital, donating free of cost her time and efforts in comforting sick animals and those who had undergone surgery.
In early 2009, Kiste was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen, and underwent surgery. This temporarily relieved her discomfort, but proved to be only a temporary measure. On 27 February 2009, surrounded by her fellow pets and her Humans, Kiste slipped peacefully away.
Kiste is survived by her two sons, Brodrick and Indie, her companion Max the Boston Terrier, Wilson Cat, and Tortuga Cat. Also left behind are her canine cousins, Sophie, Mabel, Kimball, and Mazie. She was preceded in death by Lola Cat.
Kiste is missed. loved, and remembered. Farewell, Brown Dog, until we meet at the Rainbow Bridge.
