Wood you be mine?

Today is our 5th anniversary. I am told by the internets and gods of consumerism that this means it is the year of wood. Take from that what you may.

This is what 5 years have taught me:

-E is a good match for me. It is really hard for both of us to be completely irrational at the same time. That is balance.

-A wise woman once said: "Choosing to be married is as important as choosing who to be in that marriage with." Agreed.

-Just when you think you have figured it out, you make a stupid mistake. I thought this would stop after a few years but I have come to terms with the fact that it never will. I guess that is why they make you do those vow thingies.

-When Uncle Dave acts as the officiant for other weddings, I feel like they are stealing our good idea.

-My wedding was beautiful. I just want to do it over so I can be skinnier, have a chance to taste the food and have the people there who are such a huge part of my life now but didn't know 5 years ago.

-I am dumb. I still haven't really printed any photos from the wedding. Maybe this will be the year. Probably not.

-5 years has done good things for E. That being said, he is much more of a boy than I thought he was when we got married. How exactly did he keep that hidden?

-Going to other people's weddings is the best couples counseling you can get. That and Buddy. He is good therapy too.

-It will never stop cracking me up that we had candy bubbles on our cake. It was awesome.

-Every morning I wake up amazed E has stayed and really grateful for our CalKing bed. Cozy but wide.

-I am incredibly grateful that I am not dating anymore. What a mess that is.

-I am certain we made the right decision.

Happy Woody Anniversary, E

Patagonia @ ISPO

Just returned from another German adventure.

For those of you who don't know exactly what it is that E and I do, here is a video to give you a little taste. This is the booth for Patagonia that we designed, manufactured and went to Germany to install at the ISPO convention.

There are days when I am proud of our work. Today makes the cut.
