Baby, where are you?

The middle Riggs Sister is with child and she is so adorable. This is such a great adventure for us because she is the first and I have so many questions. It has been a little heartbreaking too because there is no mom to help Adrian through and none of the other girls around have had babies before. All of our friends have advice and I am grateful for them but nothing replaces the comfort your mom can offer you as your life changes so dramatically.

I know I am talking like I am the one having the baby or the spouse and it is likely a little creepy but I really didn't know you could love something so much that you have never even met. I feel him kick Adrian and have seen him grow and it melts my heart. I can't believe you can grow people, it is so incredible.

Adrian, (forgive me for posting this personal story) went to a massage on Saturday hoping to induce labor but her massage therapist who knew my mom told her that mom just wasn't ready to let go. She suggested that Adrian find a way to assure mom that she was ready to receive this little person. What a comforting thought that mom is holding onto this little spirit waiting for just the right time to send him.

The nameless little one was due yesterday but I think he will arrive on Wednesday. I will be so happy to see him and I know he will be my favorite thing in the world with his tiny hands and adorable little baby penis. I am so grateful for this little person that is coming to join our crazy family so we can make him crazy too by loving and protecting him too much.
Never was a baby more welcome or needed. I hope he comes to our party soon!
